What is the difference for Offset printing, silk-screen printing, laser, UV, thermal printing, ink-jet printing

There are many printing technologies to meet different requirements based on the material, shape and printing elements.

Firstly, the offset printing is the basically method for mass production of RFID Card maker. When the quantity more than 300pcs, and the image is fixed, the offset printing will be applied. The printing speed is very high and support full color image printing.

Similar like offset printing, wheel printing will be applied for NFC stickers printing, which provides on roll format, high speed and full color printing supported.

When the material surface is special and rugged like ABS, silicon type, the Silk-screen printing will be used. Because it is unable to go through the large offset printer. The silk-screen printing is made by hand and color was adjusted by mixed oil, so the color will keep the same from the first one until the last.

The above three printing method are all required printing film making before. This printing film can be one design or mixed design for small orders. So that means the three above printing method can only support fixed image printing, not supporting variable element or data printing.

How to solve the variable data printing? There are many methods like digital printing, laser printing, UV printing, thermal printing and ink-jet printing etc.

Digital printing main focus on pvc or paper on sheet printing to output the variable images like office printer. But it different from office printer, card factory will print it in large sheet and then do lamination or combination, after this step to do cutting. So the printing will last longer than normal office printer.
